About Our School

Ataturk Government Model High School is one of the oldest and most prestigious secondary schools in Feni District, Bangladesh. Named after Mustafa Kemal Atatürk — the father of modern Turkey — our school has been a beacon of education and excellence since its founding in 1939.

Situated on a sprawling 8-acre campus in Dagonbhuiyan Upazila, we serve over 1,365 students across Classes 6 to 10 under the Comilla Education Board.

Our Journey

History & Milestones

1939

School Founded

Established on 6 January 1939 by Mizanur Rahman, the then Sub-Divisional Officer of Feni, with the cooperation of local people. Originally started as a Middle English School.

1981

Turkish Ambassador Visit

In March 1981, the Ambassador of Turkey to Bangladesh, Mr. Ilter Turkman, visited the school — marking the beginning of a historic international relationship.

1982

Turkish President's Historic Visit

President of Turkey Kenan Evren visited the school. The Turkish government granted 20 million BDT (২ কোটি টাকা) to build the modern 8-acre campus — a remarkable international recognition.

2018

Officially Nationalized

On 11 April 2018, the school was officially nationalized by the Government of Bangladesh — a recognition of its outstanding academic and administrative standards.
